Who are you and what do you do?

I'm Soren Bryce and I create sounds.

When did you get into music?

When I was a fifth grade orchestra dweeb. 

How would you define your genre of music?


What do you love about songwriting?

It's a good friend that doesn't argue back. 

Where do your musical influences come from?

David Bazan, James Blake, Grimes, and Thom Yorke. To name a very small percentage.

What was one of the more challenging aspects of creating the record?

Bridging the sonic landscapes in a way that creates a flow between songs. 

Do you have a favorite song from the record?

Definitely Aisle Seat on a Rough Flight. Or stars. Both very near and dear to my heart / mental state in that period of my life. 

Where's the best place you've performed at?

The El Rey Theater was a distinct milestone for me. 

Whats next for you?

Continue touring, release the record, and make more sounds as they come. 

What's the best collaboration you've worked with?

Blackbear is a generous and intelligent cowriter, and I'm grateful for his insight and friendship.
